What to Look For in Pressure Washing Detergent

The pressure washing task is going to require more than just cold or hot water. It will also need the right chemicals for taking care of tough stains like grease or oil. Cleaning supplies like detergent should be used here, and pressure washing detergent is a great compound to use for the task at hand. However, there are a few things that should be put into mind for finding this.

The first thing to use for the pressure washing detergent is to see if the liquid is approved for pressure washers. If the detergent is not approved then it can not only be dangerous to the environment but it can also be dangerous to the pressure washer. This includes damages to the washer pump, wand and hose.

The detergent should be non-caustic. This means that the detergent should not be one that can corrode or burn surfaces. By making sure that the detergent is capable of handling surfaces at high pressure levels without damaging the surfaces it will be easy to find the detergent that is going to be right for the job.

The cleaning supplies here should be buyl-based. Butyl is a hydrocarbon radical that is based out of butane. The carbon and hydrogen used here can help to take care of the surfaces without damaging them.

Detergent that is going to be used here should also work with both cold and hot water. There are some instances where detergent that is specifically for cold or hot water can be available. It is best to know in advance the temperature of the water that one is going to be using before determining whether or not the water is going to be safe to use or not.

Different tasks for pressure washing will require different compounds. These are based on the dilution levels of the liquid, which will be mentioned here next. All purpose cleaners can be used, but there are also detergent that are especially for grease cleaning, oil cleaning and aluminum cleaning. Vehicle cleaning detergent is also available.

The level of dilution should be considered as well. Dilution refers to the level of concentration of the liquid. For instance, if there is a higher number then the dilution level will be greater because there will be more water or other thinning compound used in the detergent. The level will be based on the intention that the detergent is going to be working on. The dilution level for a typical vehicle wash detergent will be 100:1, and heavy duty degreasing detergent will have a dilution level of 150:1.

The pressure washing detergent will need to be something that should be thought about when one is going to be preparing for the pressure washing process. There are various important characteristics to use for the detergent, and the dilution level should be a factor. Don't forget to consider what the detergent is going to be used for. This will be one of the most important cleaning supplies to use, so be sure take detergent include consideration.
