The Importance of the Pressure Washer Wand

The most important part of a pressure washer may be the wand that the water and detergent go through. Various pressure washing accessories can be used, but the wand is something that should be considered more than anything else. Here's what to use for the pressure washer wand.

The wand that is used will be one that is narrow and is long enough to where the user will not be damaged by the water. A typical wand will be about a quarter of an inch in width. The length of the wand will be about three feet or longer in length, but there are some longer wands that can be used for tougher to reach places.

The build of the pressure washer wand should be one that is durable and will not break. Fiberglass is a very durable surface to use for the wand. It is not only hard to break but it is also capable of handling the high levels of pressure that the wand will feel through the water that comes out of it.

A lightweight wand is going to be a better option for the wand. A typical wand should weight about twelve or thirteen pounds. Any pressure washing accessories for the wand should be lightweight and not add any significant weight to the wand itself.

The wand should be able to handle water of various temperatures. A typical wand can handle water that is as high as two hundred degrees in temperature. If hot water pressure washing is going to be used then the maximum temperature should be considered for the job.

There are some pressure washing accessories that can work for these wands. An extension wand is one of the better options to use. An extension wand will work to help extend the average length of the wand by six to twenty four feet in length. This can be used in that the extension will be able to work to expand the areas that the wand will be able to cover. This includes areas of the property that can be difficult to cover with a standard sized wand.

Also, if a longer wand is going to be used then a long wand belt should be used as well. This is a belt that can be used to support the weight of the wand so that it will be easier for the person to handle the wand. It adds to the stability, which can be tough to get when the wand is longer because of an extension to it.

A pressure washer wand is something that should be used for the pressure washing job. Not only can it help to get the liquid to the right places but it can be added onto for getting tougher places taken care of. The temperature of the water, the build of the wand and the weight should be considered when looking to find the right wand though.
